The LEGO Ferrari F40 Screams Awesome, Has A Removable V8 Engine

The Ferrari F40 was designed to celebrate the Italian car maker’s 40^th anniversary and was the last ever Ferrari automobile personally approved by the company’s founder, Enzo Ferrari.

It is considered to be one of the greatest supercars of all time, and LEGO has made a true-to-the-original scaled replica kit of the F40 with the latest addition in its Creator series which you are looking at here.

Firstly, we say that this is one of the most detailed recreation of the iconic supercar in LEGO bricks we’ve ever seen. How detailed? Well for starters, the kit consists of 1,158 pieces that when fully assembled, features a hinged, vented rear hatch, opening doors and hood with luggage compartment and tools, pop-up headlights, cabled door handles, windscreen element with printed A-pillars, steering wheel with Ferrari logo, two red racing seats, and custom-made, molded rim inserts.

If that isn’t enough, the twin-turbocharged V8 engine at the rear is not only detailed but can be removed from the car via a quick release function! When fully constructed, the F40 in a racing-red colour scheme will measure 8cm high, 27cm long, and 14cm wide.

The LEGO Creator Ferrari F40 (10248) will go on sale from August 1 at a price of USD89.99 (RM339) although VIP members can purchase it earlier from July 15-31.
