KLIMS 2010: 2011 All-New Kia Sorento Launched In Malaysia
Naza Kia, the official distributor of Kia cars in Malaysia, has launched the all-new Kia Sorento at the 2010 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS). With a tentative pricing of RM 160K and a five-year warranty, the new Sorento is expected to sell in a modest number of 150 units per month.
Longer, lower and roomier than the previous-generation Sorento, the new seven-seater Sorento also features a more modern appearance that could turn some heads. Inside, the sense of spaciousness is further enhanced by the inclusion of a panoramic sunroof, while practicality is not overlooked with loading space that increases up to a maximum of 1047 litres.
Providing the motivation is the 174 hp, 226 Nm 2.4-litre Theta-II petrol engine, whose generated output goes to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. A pity, however, that the 197 hp, 442 Nm 2.2-litre R-series turbodiesel engine, offered in the facelifted Hyundai Santa Fe, is not an option in the Sorento. Read more on the all-new Sorento's details.
