LA Auto Show: 2012 Saab 9-4X

The all-new Saab 9-4X has made its world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The second model introduced after the 9-5 sedan upon the sale of Saab from General Motors to Spyker, the 9-4X was developed alongside the Cadillac SRX and shares more than obvious design cues borrowed from the 9-5 sedan.

Tasked with widening the appeal of the rejuvenated Saab brand, the 9-4X, powered by a 265 hp 3.0-litre naturally-aspirated V6 or a 300 hp 2.8-litre turbocharged V6, will need to outshine established rivals such as the Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60 when it goes on sale in the U.S. in mid-2011.
