2011 Toyota Corolla Altis Facelift Arriving In Malaysia Soon

UMW Toyota Motor has listed the new mid-life facelift version of Toyota Corolla Altis on their website. The most significant of changes is the addition of a 2.0V variant priced at RM 131,990 (estimated OTR with insurance pricing). The RM 105,990 1.6E, the RM 112,990 1.8E and the RM 122,990 1.8G variants have had their prices revised upwards; for the extra money, the variants get more powerful dual VVT-i engines as well as a new seven-speed Super CVT-i gearbox, except for the base 1.6E which is equipped with a four-speed automatic gearbox with Super ECT.

Compared with the current 1.6-litre engine producing 107 bhp at 6000 rpm and 145 Nm at 4400 rpm, the new 1ZR-FE 1.6-litre engine produces 121 bhp at 6000 rpm and 154 Nm at 5200 rpm. The new 2ZR-FE 1.8-litre engine produces 138 bhp at 6400 rpm and 173 Nm at 4000 rpm, while the current 1.8-litre engine produces 130 bhp at 6000 rpm and 170 Nm at 4200 rpm. The 2.0V variant is powered by the new 3ZR-FE 2.0-litre engine generating 143 bhp at 6200 rpm and 187 Nm at 3600 rpm.

UMW Toyota Motor has not revealed when the facelifted Corolla Altis will be launched, but it should be within one or two months from now. More confirmed details on the pricing and equipment list to come your way with the car's official launch.
