2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS Unofficially Revealed

The 2011 all-new, next-generation Mercedes-Benz CLS has been unofficially revealed via a leaked brochure obtained by Mercedes-Benz Passion Blog. Sharing many styling elements with the Mercedes-Benz Shooting Break Concept, the all-new CLS appears more sculptured compared with its predecessor, showing off aggressive lines, pronounced wheel arches and a lower, wider stance.
The interior is also heavily influenced by the Shooting Break Concept, featuring a full-length centre console which the current CLS does without. While not clearly shown in the leaked photos, the cabin has been designed to be more upmarket, including, among others, multi-tone leather upholstery and a unique dash architecture.
The engine range is expected to include 3.5-litre V6 and 4.6-litre V8 petrol engine units, 2.1-litre and 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel units, and a 5.5-litre bi-turbo V8 in the CLS AMG variant. All engines should be paired to Mercedes-Benz's 7G-tronic seven-speed automatic transmission.
The next-generation CLS will make its official appearance at the Paris Motor Show, before going on sale in January 2011.
