Six GTbyCITROËN to be Built at £1.1 Million Each

Not blown away by the recently launched 2010 Citroen C3? Neither are we, even if that hatchback should prove to be as excellent. Instead, here we have the GTbyCITROËN, catering to the ultra-exquisite segment unlike the mainstream C3. As you might remember, the extremely long, radical-looking GTbyCITROËN is creation by Citroen and the people behind Sony PlayStation's highly popular Gran Turismo game franchise. It featured at the 2008 Paris Motor Show and even made an appearance through the Piccadilly street in London.

It was previously reported that 15 examples will be made at a million euros each. But it seems GTbyCITROËN will be even more exclusive and more expensive, with only six to be built, each costing 1.1 million pounds. The powerplant to be used has not been revealed, but rumours suggest a 500-hp V8 is on the table, paired to a sequential gearbox. And assuming the rumoured carbon-fibre construction goes through too, GTbyCITROËN would have quite the explosive pace to match its menacing looks.
