2012 All-New BMW M6 Successor Spy Photos

These are the spy photos of the next-generation, range-topping BMW 6-Series—the 650i. In the past years, this 6-Series would be the M6. But with BMW's announcement to replace the M6 with a supercar positioned against Audi R8 and Porsche 911, one drawing inspiration from the Vision Efficient Dynamics Concept displayed at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, you are more likely than not looking at the most powerful 6-Series variant without the M-badge.
The photos do not dispute that, either. The heavy camouflage does well to hide the real identity of this coupe, but from what can be seen, bar the familiar M6-style quadruple exhaust tips, the rest of the coupe leans towards standard 6-Series than M6. According to previous reports, the all-new 6-Series will wear a styling largely influenced by the Gran Coupe Concept which was showcased at the Beijing Motor Show.
The 650i is expected to be powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with 570 bhp that also powers the next-generation M5. The 6-Series should arrive in the middle of 2011 as a 2012 model.
