BMW Malaysia Launches New 3-Series Coupe & Convertible And Hottest Z4

BMW Malaysia has added a couple of BMW 3-Series Coupe and Convertible variants as well as the most powerful BMW Z4 variant to its lineup. Available in three variants, the 3-Series Coupe costs RM 289,800 in the form of 320i, RM 378,800 for the 325i and RM 498,800 for the 335i M Sport. The 3-Series Convertible is sold as a single variant, the 325i, for RM 439,800. The most expensive model introduced is the Z4 sDrive35is M Sport which sells for RM 598,800.

The 320i is powered by the 156 hp, 200 Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder N46B20 engine, which has already been introduced on the 3-Series sedan. The 325i draws motivation from the 218 hp, 250 Nm 2.5-litre six-cylinder N52B25 engine. The 335i M Sport features the 306 hp, 400 Nm 3.0-litre six-cylinder N55B30 engine, which is paired to BMW's seven-speed twin-clutch DCT transmission.

On the outside, the 3-Series Coupe now gains LED lights on its headlamps, blinkers and tail lights. iDrive is not standard on the base 320i, although the RM 20K “Innovation Package” brings you an 8.8-inch LCD monitor, built-in DVD player, GPS with integrated hard disk storage and Bluetooth connectivity, in addition to iDrive. Also optional with the 320i and the 325i is the RM 10K electrically-operated glass roof with slide and tilt function. The 335i M Sport comes with M sports suspension along with sports seats and other M Sport cosmetic add-ons.

The 3-Series Convertible's only variant, the 325i is offered with the same 218 hp, 250 Nm 2.5-litre engine that powers the 325i coupe and sedan. The three-piece folding hardtop continues to work its charm, folding completely in a time of 22 seconds. The extra weight from the folding roof and chassis reinforcements could blunt not only the acceleration but the handling as well.

The Z4 sDrive35is M Sport soldiers on with the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo N54B30 engine which has been tuned to produce 340 hp and 450 Nm. The standard seven-speed twin-clutch DCT transmission is accompanied by Launch Control and Dynamic Driving Control. The hottest Z4 also gains an M aerodynamics package and Adaptive M Suspension.
