Land Rover Malaysia, part of the Sime Darby Auto Connexion group, has refreshed its model range for 2010, with changes for three out of five models in its range. The Discovery, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover all receive updates but both the Defender and Freelander 2 remain unchanged.
The RM 413,888 Discovery 4 continues to be powered by the same 2.7-litre V6 turbodiesel engine, one capable of generating 189 bhp and 440 Nm. The exterior receives a minor facelift, which brings changes to the grille, headlamps, side air vents and tail lights. The interior gets a more significant makeover that gives the cabin a more luxurious appeal.
The Range Rover Sport also gets a facelift, receiving a restyled set of grille and bumper, new LED headlamps and tail lights and a redesigned rear spoiler. Despite the Ranger Rover name, the Range Rover Sport is based on the same platform as the Discovery, though it features three different and new engines. The 245 bhp, 600 Nm 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel variant sells for RM 568,888, the 375 bhp, 510 Nm 5.0-litre V8 petrol variant goes for RM 588,888, and the 510 bhp, 625 Nm 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol variant goes for RM 728,888.
Land Rover's flagship model is the Range Rover, which receives no styling updates, but gets a new engine in the form of the aforementioned 510 bhp, 625 Nm 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine. That range-topping variant sells for RM 798,888, while two other variants use the 268 bhp, 640 Nm 3.6-litre V8 turbodiesel engine from before. The lower-spec HSE variant goes for RM 658,888, while the higher-spec Vogue variant can be yours for
RM 688,888.
