Track-focused Lexus LFA Special Edition Officially Revealed

The track-focused Lexus LFA Special Edition, developed at the Nurburgring circuit in Germany, has been officially unveiled. Compared to the regular LFA, it features a more aggressive front splitter, a larger fixed rear wing, lightweight alloy wheels, high-grip tyres and stiffer sports suspension.

Underneath the bonnet lies a 4.8-litre V10 engine that has been reworked to produce 562 bhp, 10 bhp more than before. The dual-clutch transmission has been recalibrated too, reducing gearshift times from 0.20 seconds to 0.15 seconds.

There is no word on whether the LFA Special Edition is a standalone model or part of the previously-announced limited production run of 500 units. Either way, with the regular LFA selling for $375,000 (RM 1.24 million) and the track-focused LFA for $50,000 (RM 166,000) more, you will need to be extremely wealthy to buy one.
