The 2011 all-new Volkswagen Touareg has been officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. It is said to be more powerful, efficient and spacious than before. Looks-wise, Touareg appears only mildly tweaked—though no bad thing as the current Touareg possesses plenty of road presence.
Along with a 375-bhp, 580-Nm electric hybrid drivetrain that is available for the first time ever, there is a choice of either a petrol engine—a 276-bhp, 360-Nm 3.6-litre V6 FSI—or two diesel engines—a 238-bhp, 550-Nm 3.0-litre V6 TDI or a 337-bhp, 800-Nm 4.2-litre V8 TDI. All engines are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The new Touareg will go on sale in Europe in the third quarter of 2010, starting with the U.K. in August; So it should be Malaysia-bound before the end of the year. Meanwhile, read more on Touareg's full details and enjoy the gallery of live photos!
