Audi Releases Video Of The A1 On The Roads

Audi has released the first video showing Audi's latest “premium compact”, the A1, on the roads. Audi is keen to point out the A1's agile handling and direct steering, as well as the new ESP system with electronic axle differential lock—all of which contribute to the A1 being “the benchmark in the small compact class”.

Somehow, that verdict on the A1's handling is much less convincing coming from an Audi press release. Still, it is premature to rule out the A1 as a credible rival to the MINI. After all, Audi created the TT, a sports coupe that is proof of Audi's ability to build brilliant-handling cars. The A1 will debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
