Ferrari 599 GTO Spy Shots

These are the spy shots of Ferrari's latest project—the 599 GTO, the road legal version of the track-only 599XX. For those who find the 599 GTB Fiorano too common, too mild and too cheap, the 599 GTO fits the bill perfectly. With 599XX replacing the Enzo-based FXX, the 599 GTO also caters to the ultra high-end segment vacated by the Enzo, at least until 2012 when the Enzo successor is rumoured to debut.

In the first evidence that the 599 GTO is well on the way, the supercar was caught on camera multiple times in Maranello, Ferrari's home ground, wearing limited camouflage and showing off black alloys, blacked-out roof and huge rear diffuser.
