5 By Peugeot Concept To Be Officially Unveiled In Geneva

Hot on the heels of the captivating SR1 Concept, Peugeot has unveiled another gorgeous concept that will grace the floors of the Geneva Motor Show next week. Unlike the SR1 Concept, the 5 by Peugeot Concept will make it to production later this year as the new 508 – 407’s successor.

With a wheelbase of 110 inches, the 5 by Peugeot is marginally larger than the 407 and is about the same size as the current generation of Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. Running on a Peugeot developed unique diesel-electric hybrid system, the French marquee hopes to bring about “radical changes” in the market for large, luxury saloons. We will be officially seeing this system reach production in the 3008 by 2011.
