New Toyota Innova Debuts In Indonesia
Toyota has launched a new 2013 Toyota Innova model in Indonesia today. This is the second time Toyota has given the Innova a mid-lifecycle facelift, as the ageing model soldiers on for a few more years until an all-new model is introduced, possibly between 2015 and 2016.
In Indonesia, the Innova is marketed as the Kijang Innova.
Apart from a different front-end and rear-end design, there aren't many changes relevant to Malaysian buyers.
The new Innova features a shockingly large chrome radiator grille with a new front bumper while the rear features a new 'H' motive pattern stretching across the tailgate and a new tail lamp cluster.
Most of the other changes are specific only to the Indonesian market, like a different audio system with rear-seat entertainment system and 'captain-seats' style second-row seats with arm-rest for the G-grade and V-grade models.
Safety features has also been upgraded, to include dual front airbags and front seat belts with pre-tensioners and force limiters - both features are already a standard item on our locally assembled Innova.
