Right-Hand-Drive Tesla Roadster Now Available In The UK

The right-hand-drive all-electric Tesla Roadster is now available for sale in the U.K., before a rollout across other right-hand-drive markets. The right-hand-drive version offers a new sound system and better noise-reduction materials compared to the left-hand-drive version.

“The right-hand-drive model is our response to growing demand from high-performance car buyers in the U.K. who are also interested in their impact on the environment”, said Cristiano Carlutti, Tesla's Vice President for European sales and operations. “Tesla is dramatically expanding its retail footprint in Europe, we look forward to building our community of owners and fans throughout the continent”.

Now available exclusively from Tesla's Knightsbridge showroom in London, the Roadster sells for £86,950 (RM 471,325 before Malaysian duties). For the money, you get supercar performance—0-100 km/h takes only 3.7 seconds. Full range stands at around 322 km, and a full recharge takes about four hours through a 220-volt outlet.
