Renault R30 Launched For 2010 Formula One Season

This is the R30, Renault's F1 car for the 2010 season. With the exit of main sponsor ING last season following the Crashgate incident, Renault reverted back to traditional colours, yellow and black, used by the first Renault F1 car back in 1978. Featuring a “shark fin” engine cover similar to McLaren MP4-25's, the R30 will be driven by Robert Kubica and Vitaly Petrov, the latter of whom has become the first Russian driver in the history of F1.

2009 saw Renault scoring just 26 points and taking eighth place overall. Hoping for a change of fortunes is the new team boss Eric Boullier. “With a new structure in place, new drivers, and new colours, there is a lot to be excited about and a lot to look forward to in the year ahead”, he said. “Setting objectives is never easy, but it's clear that we have high ambitions for 2010 as we aim to take Renault back to the front of the grid”.
