2012 Volkswagen Beetle Rendered

Although the next-generation Volkswagen Beetle is heading for debut in two years' time, we have little idea of what to expect. There are no spy shots or speculation of any kind for us to pore over... until now. This rendering clearly shows an enlarged Beetle that should provide significantly more room than the current Beetle. The dual-circle headlamp deviates from the current single-circle design, while wheel arches are more pronounced too. If rumours are to be believed, a sporty R version Beetle could be introduced for the first time ever come 2012.
