Audi A5 Sportback Officially Launched In Singapore

Audi has launched the A5 Sportback in the city-state of Singapore, completing the A5 range which includes the A5 coupe and convertible. Described as possessing the classic good looks of a coupe and the practicality of an estate, A5 Sportback comes with five doors and four seats, without compromising the stylish looks of the two-door A5 coupe.

Two variants are available for selection: the 211-hp, 350-Nm 2.0-litre TFSI variant that sells for S$174,500 and the 265-hp, 330-Nm 3.2-litre FSI V6 variant that goes for S$201,800. Both engines are mated to the S-tronic dual clutch transmission. Power goes to the ground via Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive configuration.

BMW has no direct answer to A5 Sportback; Mercedes-Benz has the CLS, although the base CLS350 at S$284,888 is priced out of contention. As excellent as A5 Sportback could be, nothing beats having the entire segment to oneself.
