BMW X6M Launched In Malaysia For RM1,188,800

The BMW X6 M has been launched in Malaysia for RM 1,188,800. Powering the super-crossover is a 4.4-litre V8 twin-turbo, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission, churning out 547 bhp and 680 Nm. 0-100 km/h comes up in a supercar-like 4.7 seconds. These figures compare to the base X6 xDrive35i's 302 bhp, 400 Nm, 6.7 seconds and RM 698,800 price tag.

X6 polarised opinions when it was launched in 2008, not for its styling but for its positioning: X6 is marketed as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC), which supposedly brings the best of the SUV and coupe worlds. As fine a piece of engineering it is, the four-seater X6 is extremely unpractical for its size; Still, some love it, others don't. However, we are not so sure the significantly more expensive X6 M would be as well-received. If X6 is pushing the envelope, X6 M is definite overkill.
