Honda NSX Race Car Sibling Spy Shots & Video

The Honda NSX supercar replacement may be shelved for now, but its race car equivalent, the HSV-010 (HSV stands for Honda Sports Velocity), has been approved for competition in the SuperGT’s GT500 category. Honda has been very quiet on the HSV-010, releasing little details. But thanks to one resourceful fan who managed to capture the car on camera and video before sending it all to Autoblog, we can see the car quite clearly undergoing testing at the Suzuka Circuit in Japan.

Honda has plans to feature four HSV-010s for the upcoming season, which starts on March 20, bearing the numbers 8, 18, 32 and 100. Details are scarce, but we do know that the HSV-010 shares the same chassis as the NSX replacement, and the front-mid mounted 3.4-litre V8 sends 502 bhp to the rear wheels via a six-speed Ricardo sequential manual transmission.
