Bentley, Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini To Miss Upcoming LA Auto Show

You remember how the on-going economic crisis robbed the recent 2009 Tokyo Motor Show of many non-Japanese automakers and exhibitors? Well, it is happening again—to the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show, although on a smaller, less worrisome scale. As of now, we have heard news of Bentley, Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini deciding not to show up.

The high-end brands' decision is all the more surprising considering that Los Angeles and California as a whole are key markets where the most affluent customers are. Still, the so-called Big Three—Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz—will be there, along with Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, Spyker and Fisker, as it seems for now at least.
