Maybach Zeppelin Introduction With Photos Galore

Maybach, the only true brand competing (and losing) to Rolls-Royce, has invoked the Zeppelin name with its latest offering, which debuted at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, perhaps in the hope of boosting slumping sales. Based on Maybach 57 S and 62 S, Zeppelin comes equipped with the same 6.0-litre bi-turbo V12 powerplant, but has 28 hp more than the norm, meaning 640 hp and 1000 Nm available on tap.
So what else do you get for the extra money? Other than the 28 horses that probably would matter little to actual performance, there are unique 20-inch dark chrome wheels, dark red tail lights, streamlined exterior mirrors, vertical exhaust outlets, special two-tone paint finish, unique leather upholstery, piano lacquer trim, silver champagne flutes and a plastic fragrance dispenser.
The 57 Zeppelin goes for €406,000 (RM 2,048,480), while 62 Zeppelin sells for €473,200 (RM 2,387,400). Take note that the list price does not include the highly exclusive and patented perfume atomiser (erm...), which you can buy for €3950 (RM 19,928). Maybach is limiting production to merely 100 units, possibly because the sales figure of 57 S and 62 S combined is probably not much higher than that.
