Lotus F1 Car Passes Internal Crash Tests

Our own Lotus F1 car has passed internal crash tests carried out according to the Federation of International Automobile (FIA) requirements, crossing yet another milestone before next February's pre-season testing and next March's Bahrain season-opener.
Official and compulsory FIA crash tests can only be conducted when the chassis is completed, but the two internal—side impact and nose box—tests have been passed with satisfactory results.
Meanwhile, Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, one of the team owners, gave some information on how Lotus F1 Team will be tightening its budget belt. For one, AirAsia airline, of which Kamarudin is an owner, would transport equipment and crew members at a relatively low cost. He further mentioned the multitude of oversea-based Malaysian engineers who applied for positions on the team and “are willing to work at a lower pay”, thereby lowering the labour costs.
