2010 BMW M3 GTS In Full-Fledged Track Action

When was the last time BMW gave us something truly resembling an “Ultimate Driving Machine”? As good as the new Z4 is, it is not the ultimate. 7-Series is a limousine with a very sporty edge. X6 is a brilliant crossover that could at best be described as the ultimate SUV. And while M3 may possess sensational dynamics and a fiery V8, it arguably lacks the directness and rawness of the previous-generation M3, a car revered by many car enthusiasts.
But now, BMW wants to straighten the record with the M3 GTS, a car tuned by BMW's M Division that not long ago came up with X6 M and X5 M. The street-legal, track-focused M3 GTS comes with all the necessary body kit and a stripped-down interior. Although official details are yet to be released, you can expect around 450 horses from a 4.4-litre V8, instead of 420 horses from the current 4.0-litre V8, mated to a seven-speed double-clutch semi-automatic transmission.
Going on sale in Germany next May, M3 GTS sells for 115,000 euros (582,579 ringgit), before all the Malaysian taxes and duties. So let's just say it will be extremely expensive, reserved for the richest of us. Still, we can at least enjoy the two videos showing M3 GTS in full-fledged track action!
