2013 Proton Satria Neo R3 Launched In Malaysia, Priced From RM61K

The 2013 Proton Satria Neo R3 has been launched in Malaysia, wearing exclusive R3 body kit and accessories that give you a taste of what it's like to drive a sports hatchback that has won numerous local and international rally championships. Based on the Satria Neo CPS, the Satria Neo R3 is priced at RM 61,250 and RM 64,250 for the Executive Line manual and Executive Line automatic, respectively. A booking fee of RM 300 is applicable.

Outside, the Proton Satria Neo R3 is decorated with R3 front splitter and rear spoiler, R3 front and rear marks, titanium-coloured side protecting moulding, and 16" R3 alloy wheels. Proton will throw in signature R3 side stripe and front grille stickers for bookings and registration made by 31 December 2012. Miss that date and you can still buy them as optional R3 accessories, which also comprise carbon fibre B-pillar garnish.

Four colours are up for selection: Fire Red, GTi Silver, Tranquility Black, and, for the first time in Proton Satria R3 history, Canary Yellow, the colour of the famous Satria Neo S2000. Moving inside, the Satria Neo R3 comes equipped with R3 front semi-bucket leather seats, R3 floor mats, and a 2-DIN multimedia and GPS navigation system.

Unsatisfied with an R3 model that is all show and no better on the roads? You can choose from optional performance parts counting a lowering spring set, a revised ECU and full exhaust system set, and an extended water pump pulley and belt accessory drive set. The heart of the Proton Satria Neo R3 is still the same 1.6-litre Campro CPS engine with 125 HP and 150 Nm, meaning that 0-100 km/h takes a leisurely 10.5 seconds when a five-speed manual gearbox is used, or 12.9 seconds when a four-speed automatic is in place.
