Aston Martin Rapide Caught Undisguised

There are some professional spy photographers who lead unglamorous lives: having to wait at overhead bridges, pretending to be tourists taking pictures, sitting in cars alongside highways, etc. Then there are those who are lucky enough to snap photos of an undisguised all-new Aston Martin Rapide sport sedan. The lucky dude is Simon Gregg, a regular reader of Car Magazine. Judging from the photos, Rapide should be in its final stages of development, and seems ready for unveiling at the Frankfurt auto show in mid-September.
Positioned against Porsche Panamera, another high-performance four-door sedan, Rapide would come with a 6.0-litre V12 engine punching out 470 bhp and 600 Nm. A six-speed ZF automatic transmission should be standard, along with the rear-wheel drive configuration. The super-sleek Rapide should be available in showrooms around the world early 2010.
