2013 All-New Honda Accord Revealed, Leaves Us Underwhelmed

You are looking at the first official photos of the ninth-generation 2013 Honda Accord, the Japanese car maker's D-segment contender that will go on sale in the U.S. in the fourth quarter of 2012. The car coming to Malaysia could feature minor changes, though, by and large, this is what we will get.

Despite no more than facelift changes compared with the current Accord, Honda is claiming the all-new car to be “the most sculpted and the most dynamic Accord yet”. The fact is that the Accord will sell well by virtue of its name, so the evolutionary styling changes are fine, but the strong statement of intent leaves us severely underwhelmed and a little amused.

Beyond the looks, Honda says that the all-new Accord is “bigger on the inside and smaller on the outside”. The smaller dimensions coupled with a lower kerb weight are expected to improve the Accord's handling. More information of the next-generation Accord shall be revealed in the coming months.
