BMW 5-Series To Cease Production By December

Put your wallet back in your pocket for now, if you are shopping for a BMW 5-Series; And stay calm if you have just bought one. According to a recent report from BimmerFile, the current 5-Series will cease production by December, and that dealers will accept orders till October 9th. In the Malaysian context, that date seems highly unlikely, especially since BMW Malaysia just launched 520d Sports Edition last week.

The report mentioned that BMW's Dingolfing factory in Germany will be closed for the holidays and to prepare for the production of the all-new 2010 5-Series, which should most likely debut at next year's Geneva Motor Show.
