The 2012 Mitsubishi ASX compact SUV has been updated for this new year, now equipped with additional equipment including 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic retractable side mirrors, smart key and push-start ignition system, and premium leather seats with better comfort and enhanced lumbar support.
Nothing comes free, however, and those new items will set you back almost RM 2K, with the new Mitsubishi ASX priced at RM 138,156 (OTR without insurance) when it enters showrooms two days from now. Like before, the price includes a three-year/100,000km warranty and a two-year maintenance package.
Available in four colours—White Pearl, Mica Black, Red Metallic and Titanium Grey, the 2012 Mitsubishi ASX is otherwise unchanged. The powertrain still consists of a 2.0-litre MIVEC 4B11 engine, generating 150 HP and 197 Nm, mated to a CVT with a six-step Sports Mode.
The original equipment list was comprehensive from the start, boasting magnesium paddle shifters, leather upholstery, colour multi-information LCD display, reverse camera, LCD touch-screen entertainment system, Active Stability Control (ASC), and airbags protecting the driver, front passenger and driver's knee.
