Ford's 2011 Sales In Malaysia Jump 145%, Led By Ford Fiesta

Ford, represented in Malaysia by Sime Darby AutoConnexion, has reported the company's best annual retail sales performance since 1997, hitting a total of 7,188 vehicles in 2011, a jump of 145 percent compared with 2010's sales. A massive 4,297 units or 60 percent of all Fords sold locally were made up by the Ford Fiesta. The next best-seller is the Ford Ranger with sales of 2,274 units (32 percent). That figure is likely to be higher in 2012 as Ford prepares to launch the all-new Ranger this year. The introduction of the Ford S-Max and the Ford Mondeo facelift also supported sales over 2011.
