Volkswagen Group Malaysia Officially Goes To Kuantan

Volkswagen Group Malaysia has officially entered Kuantan, Pahang, with the launch of the first Volkswagen showroom this year, via authorised dealer Okuan Otomobil Sdn. Bhd. Located along Jalan Beserah, the new 3S centre, a two-storey building, can showcase 16 cars, has a five-bay service centre, and employs 30 full-time staff to serve more than 300 Volkswagen owners in the East Coast. The monthly sales target has been set at 75 cars, which Managing Director Ricky Tay is confident of reaching.

The latest Kuantan 3S centre is Volkswagen Group Malaysia's 18th operational dealership nationwide, following the introduction of two new dealer outlets in Kuching and Ipoh. Volkswagen's drive to improve its reach throughout Malaysia has been matched by the launch of three models—namely the Passat, Jetta and Cross Touran—in late 2011. The first batch of CKD Passat and Jetta units will be arriving this year, thanks to a local-assembly agreement with DRB-Hicom.
