2012 Hyundai Veloster Launching In Malaysia In Next Three Months

The 2012 Hyundai Veloster, an affordable but competitive answer to the Volkswagen Scirocco and the Audi TT, will arrive in Malaysia in the first quarter of next year via Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM), the official local distributor which officially released this exciting piece of news.

Designed with the style of a coupe and the functionality of a hatchback in mind, the radical-looking three-door Hyundai coupe comes with a single door on the driver's side and two doors on the front passenger's side for better access to an interior with four seats, 440 litres of boot capacity, and TT-rivalling quality.

The Hyundai Veloster will be powered by a 132 HP 1.6-litre Gamma II engine, paired to either an automatic gearbox or a manual gearbox, both with six ratios. Moreover, HSDM is studying the compatibilities of Malaysia's fuel quality with Hyundai's GDi (Gasoline Direction injection) and Turbo GDI technologies, which boost the outputs to 140 HP and 211 HP, respectively.
