Los Angeles Auto Show: 2012 Porsche Panamera GTS

The 2012 Porsche Panamera GTS, a variant that sits between the Panamera 4S and Turbo variants, has been unveiled ahead of its launch next year. Underneath the more aggressive styling cues are more power, a lowered (by 10 mm) air suspension, a widened rear track, upgraded brakes and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), an electronic aid that actively monitors and adjusts the GTS's height, spring rate and damping system.
Propelling the Panamera GTS is a 4.8-litre V8 engine with 430 HP and 520 Nm of torque—30 horses and 20 Nm more than what the same engine in the Panamera S produces. With the standard Sport Chrono package (Normal, Sport and Sport Plus modes) and seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission on board, the GTS hits 100 km/h from zero in 4.5 seconds, before reaching 286 km/h if given the road to run.
The Panamera GTS borrows the front bumper with large intakes and the four-stage rear spoiler from the Turbo, and features bi-xenon headlights with black inner bezels and gloss black detailing on the front bumper, side skirts, side window trim, rear diffuser and tail pipes. The cabin is equipped with new bucket seats, a SportDesign steering wheel with paddle-shifters, and a mix of leather and Alcantara trim. A Sound Symposer sound generator, which feeds engine noise into the cabin, is included for the first time on a Porsche. Enjoy the live gallery of the 2012 Porsche Panamera GTS below!
