Frankfurt Motor Show: Volvo Concept You

This is the Volvo Concept You, an evolution of the Concept Universe. The distinctive bonnet treatment has been carried over, but the front end has been simplified towards a “more classic Volvo look”, and the new coupe-like profile means that the roofline now takes the swoopy route. Volvo clearly wants a piece of the market dominated by the Audi A7 and Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class.

Volvo is leaving open the possibility of a stylish fastback sedan to replace the aging S80. Much of the final decision on the body style will depend on the reaction to the Concept You, which boasts a luxurious interior that is a mode of simplicity. Two touch-screens, located on the upper centre console and between the two rear seats, take the place of buttons and dials, while a Driver Information Monitor (DIM) and a head-up display show key information to the driver.
