U.K. can expect Jaguar XF estate to debut around 2012, coinciding with the time that XF sedan is expected to be facelifted. As with the new crop of elegant-looking Jaguars, one can expect a more flowing, more fluid design compared to the Jaguar X-Type estate. Jaguar is currently the third best-seller in U.K.'s luxury class, mainly because it lacks a model to compete against the estate versions of Audi A6, BMW 5-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, all of which sell well in U.K., a country more in love with hatchbacks and estates than any other body styles.
From the number of MPVs and SUVs versus estates on our roads, it is quite clear that Malaysians lack the appetite for bulky-looking estates. And the upcoming XF estate does not seem likely to change that, if it ever gets here.
