2011 Peugeot 508 To Launch In Malaysia In October

The 2011 Peugeot 508 will be launched in Malaysia later this month, Nasim has confirmed. Unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, the D-segment successor to the Peugeot 407 sedan showcases Peugeot's new design direction and comes loaded with premium interior features such as paddle shifters, colour head-up display (HUD), quad-zone air-conditioning, 10-speaker JBL audio system with 500-watt surround sound amplifier, plus directional bi-xenon headlamps with adaptive high-beam system.

The 2011 Peugeot 508 will be driven by a familiar engine: the 1.6-litre BMW-PSA Prince engine, equipped with turbocharging and direct injection, that produces 156 PS and 240 Nm. Motivation goes to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. Despite the single powertrain option and strong D-segment competition, Nasim believes the 508 can only add on to the positive sales momentum, which has enabled 2011's sales to surpass the 4000-unit milestone in Malaysia for the first time ever.
