2012 Honda CR-V Production Version To Retain Looks Of The Concept Car

The 2012 Honda CR-V will deviate little from the Honda CR-V Concept released earlier this year. A number of leaked patent images has confirmed that the production CR-V will retain everything—including the better-looking front-end styling compared with the current Honda CR-V's—shown on the concept except for the smoked headlamps, fancy alloy wheels and the aero kit (extra front and rear bumper bits and side skirts).
Honda has mentioned little else, only revealing that the upcoming CR-V will receive an all-new interior with more room and better load-carrying ability. The powertrain is expected to include a new six-speed automatic gearbox and a more fuel-efficient four-cylinder engine. Honda said that the body weight of the all-new CR-V will be lower than the current car's despite the similar proportions.
Likely to debut at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show this November, the 2012 Honda CR-V should reach U.S. showrooms at the end of the year, though Europeans will have to wait until the last quarter of 2012. You can expect the all-new CR-V to arrive in Malaysia around the same time. View the leaked images of the 2012 Honda CR-V in the gallery below!
