Honda CR-V Facelift—Not So Successful
sponsored links
The facelifted Honda CR-V has made its debut—in U.K. that is, even before Japan. Of course, it matters little to us where the new-look CR-V debuts first. What is imperative is however the new-look. From the two photos released, we see a new grille, revised front bumper and a different wheel design. Honda U.K. says the rear bumper is new, too, along with improved plastic and fabric quality in the cabin. Sound insulation is also promised to be better than before.
Well, it all sounds promising, then. But why is the distracting, ugly, out-of-place “gaping mouth” still there. Surely Honda executives and CR-V's designers should have realised how incongruous the front end looks by now. Surely there are tons of negative customer feedbacks on that glaring lack of styling finesse. This facelift was a great chance for Honda to root out the problem. But it seems they are fine with it; we are not so sure customers are.
