2010 Toyota Corolla Facelift To Debut In Europe Next Month

The Toyota Corolla, also known as Corolla Altis throughout ASEAN, has received a facelift which brings about a series of exterior and interior changes. Already in its 10th generation, the refreshed Corolla will be introduced for European markets starting in May.

On the outside, the front gets new headlights and restyled grille and bumper, while the rear gets new light clusters and a redesigned bumper. Also new are 16" alloy wheels and power retractable door mirrors with turn indicator. Buyers will have eight body colours, including new blue and red metallic finishes, to choose from.

Changes are equally subtle inside: The steering wheel is now flat-bottomed and provides a more comfortable grip; the instrument cluster's illumination changes colour from the previous yellow to white; the dashboard, door handles and other areas are finished in silver; the boot opening can be remotely controlled; and Alcantara upholstery as well as two interior colour schemes, dark gray and light gray, are now available.

The changes implemented for the European Corolla will, in a matter of months, be introduced for Malaysia's Corolla Altis, too. So, you may want to hold off that purchase for now. Until then, enjoy the gallery!
