Nissan GT-R Sets Yet Another Nürburgring Lap Record
sponsored links
Nissan GT-R has broken the Nürburgring lap record numerous times since its introduction. And from the apparent jubilance of the people surrounding the GT-R, it is clear the Nissan team has done it again, using 7 minutes 26.70 seconds on April 23, 2009. The previous recorded lap times are 7 minutes 27.56 seconds on April 15, 2009, 7 minutes 29 seconds in April 2008 and 7 minutes 38 seconds in September 2007.
Released in Japan in December 2007, and about to make its way around the world in 2009, GT-R is being advertised prominently way ahead of its sale, by beating Porsche 911's Nürburgring lap record—an advertisement that will reach and impress more than a conventional advertisement could. And by wearing a price tag that significantly undercuts the 911, GT-R easily provides the most bang for the buck.
Although criticised by certain motoring journalists as lacking “character”, GT-R has won various accolades from Motor Trend, Automobile Magazine and CAR Magazine, and is the 2009 World Performance Car of the Year.
