Geneva Motor Show: 2012 All-New Kia Picanto

The 2012 all-new Kia Picanto is on showcase at the Geneva Motor Show alongside the 2012 Kia Rio. Wearing an altogether more grown-up exterior design compared with the current Picanto, the second-generation Picanto will be offered as a five-door hatchback and a three-door hatchback for the first time.

Four engine choices will be on the table upon the Picanto's launch towards the end of 2011: an 85 hp, 121 Nm 1.25-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, and a 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine that is available as petrol (69 hp and 95 Nm), flex fuel (82 hp and 94 Nm) and bi-fuel (82 hp and 94 Nm) versions. A five-speed manual gearbox and a four-speed automatic gearbox are options.

Cabin room and cargo space are improved thanks to the 60 mm increase in length, 15 mm increase in wheelbase and enhanced interior packaging. Kia has also provided extra trims, fabric options and ambient lighting choices to appeal to a wider audience. Read more on the all-new Picanto's details.
