2011 Land Rover Freelander 2 Facelift Launched In Malaysia

Land Rover Malaysia has launched the 2011 Land Rover Freelander 2 SD4, a mid-life facelift version of the Freelander 2 TD4. With the selling price remaining unchanged at RM 271,388 excluding insurance, the updated Freelander comes with a range of mild exterior and interior changes and a reworked 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine.
The exterior changes consist of a new grille, revised bumpers, redesigned headlamps and fog lamps, new tail lights, more body-coloured parts, and finally sporty 19-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the dash design takes on a more modern touch, complete with new clear dials. Like before, rear passengers are seated 50 mm higher than those in front, getting a good view of the road ahead.
The 190 hp, 420 Nm turbodiesel engine now generates 30 hp and 20 Nm more and at lower revs than before, despite no change in the 2.2-litre engine capacity. Power goes to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic gearbox. Land Rover's Terrain Response system adjusts the throttle, gearbox and 4WD characteristics, while regulating the various stability, traction and braking controls on board.
