Proton Exora-Based Europestar Lotus SUV Spy Shots

The Proton Exora-based SUV has been caught on spy camera in China. Sold through Youngman Lotus, a joint venture between commercial vehicle maker Youngman Auto and Proton-owned Lotus Engineering, the SUV in testing would be marketed in China under the Europestar Lotus brand, which was launched in January 2008.

Youngman Lotus had planned to introduce eight new models by 2012, but has only launched three models since the joint venture's conception in 2008. The SUV will be the fourth model under the Europestar Lotus brand if it enters production.

Given that Proton has no SUV in its model range at the moment, and the showcase of the Proton Lekiu Concept at the 2010 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show, there could be a chance that this SUV will make its way to Malaysia...
