Toyota iQ EV To Be Showcased In Geneva Alongside Three Other Concept Models

The all-electric Toyota iQ EV prototype will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in March. With zero emissions and a maximum driving range of 105 km, the iQ EV is motivated by an electric motor drawing power from a new flat lithium-ion battery pack installed underneath the floor.

Toyota claims that the compact electric powertrain design allows the iQ EV to offer the same amount of seating and storage space as the regular iQ's. Trials in Europe will begin this year, with the official launch, via a lease programme, across the continent set for 2012.

The iQ EV will debut in Geneva alongside three other models: the closer-to-production-ready Toyota FT-86, the Europe-only Toyota Prius+ seven-seater, and the Toyota Yaris HSD (Hybrid Synergy Drive). Meanwhile, enjoy the gallery of teaser shots!
