2011 Chevrolet Orlando Set For Malaysia Launch In Second Half Of 2011

Naza Quest Sdn Bhd, part of the Naza Group in charge of distributing Chevrolet cars, will be launching the Chevrolet Orlando in Malaysia sometime in the second half of 2011. Going on sale across Europe early this year, the Orlando is a seven-seater MPV based on the same front-wheel-drive Delta platform as the Cruze sedan, the first all-new Chevrolet brought in by Naza Quest.
Having made its public debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, the Orlando will be offered with either a 1.8-litre petrol engine with 141 hp, as used in the Cruze, or a 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine with 130 hp or 163 hp. While Naza Quest has not revealed the engine coming in the next half of the year, the familiar 1.8-litre petrol engine appears the most likely choice.
The boxy Nissan Grand Livina-esque profile probably means that Chevrolet designers spent more time coming up with an ergonomical and functional interior than penning a sleek exterior for our visual pleasure. Expect adequate legroom for the third-row of seats, flexible seating arrangement, and a cabin littered with storage spaces and thoughtful touches.
