Is the all-new 2012 Honda Civic really such a bad car? The fault lies not with Honda or the ninth-generation Civic, but with expectation that has been set too high. The previous Honda Civic was revolutionary and class-leading; the all-new Honda Civic lacks progress and endeavour, and finds itself little better than the rivals it once crushed. Judged in isolation, however, the 2012 Honda Civic is still a very well-packaged car that is almost exceptional in some regards, and for that, it deserves a recommendation.
